After four years of the York University/Sheridan College Joint Program in Design, my career as a design student ended with the 2009 Graduate Show, Wonderlust. From May 10-12, at the Steamwhistle Brewery, 105 graduating students and I displayed our work to friends, family and members of the industry. After nine months of planning our final year of study came to a quick end in only three days.
I was lucky enough to be elected as a Co-Executive of Identity along with Rafael Ruiz. We looked over the entire visual aesthetic of the show as designed by the amazing 6 committees under us consisting of over 30 students. The 3 days consisted of a Family and Friends Night and an Industry Night, where I was fortunate to be a Master of Ceremonies. The show ran like clockwork due to all the pre-planning by the graduating class, and will forever be a highlight of my university career.
